PACEMAKER IMPLANTATION

PACEMAKER IMPLANTATION

A pacemaker insertion is the implantation of a small electronic device that is usually placed in the chest (just below the collarbone) to help regulate slow electrical problems with the heart. A pacemaker may be recommended to ensure that the heartbeat does not slow to a dangerously low rate.

The most common reason for a pacemaker is too slow heart beats also called bradycardia. It can also be pauses, causing fainting or other symptoms. In some cases, the pacemaker may also be used to prevent or treat a heartbeat that is too fast or tachycardia or irregular heartbeats.

All these issues are commonly referred as heart rhythm problems. We are equipped to implant all types of pacemaker and devices to correct simple to complex heart rhythm problems.
